Blogging is the latest trend in the Real Estate industry. Wanting to be a part of this new technology I researched how this could assist me in servicing the needs of my clients. What I found was an incredible way to communicate with people who have similar ideas in our community. I have to admit though, that the thought of duplicating what is already available in many different venues; Realtor.com and real estate company’s websites did not seem very exciting or meaningful. I pondered what would make my site different and most importantly helpful.
The books say that in order to write a successful blog you must be passionate and knowledgeable about the subject matter. Hmm…that was easy. My passion in this stage of life consists of two things, Real Estate and Church. Of course this is excluding family…that goes without saying. To those of you who do not know me this may seem like an odd combination, so allow me to explain.
I have attended Northwood Assembly for 25 years. This church is much more than a house of worship. It is a community of people who love God. It has become known as the Christian melting pot of the North area for over 35 years. Northwood Assembly is located on the corner of Rivers Avenue and Otranto Road. It consists of a Church building, children’s chapel, fellowship hall, day care and private elementary school.
What does all of this have to do with Real Estate? Plenty! On August 18, 2006 our lives changed forever, when our beautiful sanctuary caught fire and burned. Click here to see photos of the devastating fire. The building was a total loss. For the past year our leaders have prayed and researched the many opportunities that would best serve our congregation. It appears that our answer came in a blessing from Daniel Island Development Company. They offered to donate land to our church if we would relocate our facility to the new Cane Bay/Carnes Crossroads development of Goose Creek. The rest is the beginning of a journey that I would like to invite you to join.
I am dedicating this blog to the many families who are affiliated with our church, school and day care who will redirect their lives toward the Cane Bay and Carnes Crossroads area. I hope you will enjoy the journey as it is recorded through this blog, and find the Real Estate information helpful to you as well.
